Dead flies

It must be true that every grouping of the church will have its ways of being and practices; attitudes and preferences will be obvious. Maybe these will be so strong they are the source of church life. But this isn’t the life Christ calls us to.
What I see is that, in the churches, a certain way of being and thinking rises to the top. Without noticing it, leadership is not through the example of Christ but by the peccadilloes of the institution. What should be a sweet perfume has an uncomfortable and tell tail background note.
It is so important that each member of his body knows Christ the head and that the constant emphasis is a grounding in him and encounter with him on his terms.
